Humanity’s Need For The Resurrection

Apr 20, 2025    Ed Snyder

The resurrection of Jesus is more than a moment in history—it is the hope and heartbeat of humanity. In Matthew 28:1-8, we witness the power of an empty tomb, not just as proof of life after death, but as the doorway to transformation, renewal, and victory for all who believe.

This message reveals why the resurrection was absolutely necessary for humanity. Through Christ, we are not just forgiven—we are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Our minds are renewed (Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:23-24), our past is erased, and the power of sin and death is broken (Romans 8:1-2).

We’ll explore how Colossians 1:19 and 2:9-10 show the fullness of God in Christ, and how Acts 2:37-39 calls us to respond to this resurrection power with repentance, baptism, and receiving the Holy Ghost.

This is more than a celebration—it’s a call. Humanity doesn’t just benefit from the resurrection…

We desperately need it.
