Solid Rock Is…
Pentecostal by Experience
We believe that all should receive the Acts Two outpouring of the Holy Spirit just like in verses one and two, “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.”
We also believe that the Acts 2:38 plan of salvation is absolute.
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
Apostolic by Doctrine
The word apostle at its root means “one who is sent.” Doctrine is simply teaching. So apostolic doctrine is teaching that comes to us through the apostles, those chosen explicitly by Christ to carry His teachings to the world.
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:46 & 47
So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
Holiness by Lifestyle
Holiness is simply separation to God. Not separation from the world, but separation from the way the world acts. To live a holy life, it means that we should be deliberate in being distinct from those who do not know Christ.
1 Peter 1:15-16
But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
