Freedom is Really Not Free…

I watched a video clip I found of a guy with a mic and he stopped and asked several people, What does Memorial Day mean? What what is the purpose of this holiday? The more I watched the more anger I felt. NOBODY knew the answer. Some even said thy don’t really care. The interviewer even tried to give the hints. They did’t get it. Unbelievable!

Thinking of  countless lives that have been lost so we can enjoy the freedom that we have, should be honored. And every American should know the reason and honor those who have fallen for our freedom today.

Just to take it a step further…we should put in motion practices, behaviors, believes that will keep this country great. The country that it was founded to be. In spite of what the campaign trail is saying America is a great country. But if we don’t keep the foundations in place it will crumble.

Of course, as you know, America was built on the Word of God (Bible) and faith in God the creator. We should remain “One Nation Under God” “In God We Trust” because we want God to bless America through out the ages.

In honor of those who have fallen, who lost their lives so you and I can live free I offer a few thoughts. You can also listen to this message as I spoke at Solid Rock yesterday.

Psalms 11:3 If the Foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

The Foundations of our freedom lay within John 8:32 And ye shall know the Truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Seven Principles of Christian Ethic that will keep us a great nation and our Heroes lives will not be lost in vain.

  1. The Dignity of Human Life Exodus 20:13 Matthew 22:39
  2. The Traditional Family Genesis 2:23-24
  3. The National Work Ethic 2 Thessalonians 3:10
  4. The Right to a God-Centered Education Ephesians 6:4
  5. The Abrahamic Convent Genesis 12:1-3 Galatians 3:7 Psalms 33:12
  6. The Principle of Common Decency Matthew 22:39
  7. Our Personal Accountability of God Hebrews 9:27

If we can live by these seven principles our nation would be a much better place to live. In addition to these seven principles, we need to live a life dedicated and committed to Christ with being baptized in water and Spirit according to Acts 2:38-39

Of course, the greatest Freedom Fighter of all time is that of Jesus Christ himself. If we can just live according to the Word of God our personal life would be so much easier as well as a nation. The power of studying and living the Word of God is found in Romans 8:2  We can not reject the old paths. So many today cherry pick the bible and they miss the main ingredients of joyful living.

I invite you to do two things. One click on this link The Foundations of Freedom and listen to the audio this post is based on.   And two, share this blog post and registrar to make comments and let’s discuss the topic.

Blessings to you in everything you do in pursuit of Him.
